Description
This lot comprises two storage trunks including a modernist grid pattern chest and a faux-crocodile skin patterned trunk. The larger rectangular storage trunk features a black-finished exterior with a deep incised grid pattern. The piece is raised on four short black metal cylindrical legs and is fitted with industrial-style black metal swing handles to the front and sides. The hinged lid opens to reveal a black-stained interior fitted with two metal stay chains. A small gold-toned mark resembling a stylised character ‘P’ is present on the front top-left corner; a small circular yellow label is attached to the interior lid, though the text is not legible.
The smaller trunk features a brown textured surface mimicking crocodile hide. It is fitted with a bronzed metal front latch and metal side drop handles. The interior is lined with a black velvet-effect fabric.
