Description
This lot consists of two cartons containing a diverse collection of vintage music magazines, fanzines, and softcover books, primarily from the mid-1980s to the late 1990s. The assortment features a substantial run of UK music periodicals, including Smash Hits issues from 1984 to 1985 with covers of Sade, Neil from The Young Ones, Adam Ant, Paul Young, Paul King, and Wham!. Record Mirror issues from 1987 to 1991 are also present, featuring LL Cool J, EMF, Pet Shop Boys, and Transvision Vamp. Other titles include Flexipop! No. 26, Uncut, Record Collector, Magpie (MOJO Special Collector’s Issue), and Pop + Rock Puzzles.
Independent punk and DIY publications are represented by several fanzines, including Zonked!! number 11, Barbies dead. number 20, Short Fast & Loud number 20, and Deprogram Volume 1. Two books are included in the collection: Genesis: I Know What I Like by Armando Gallo (1980) and Michael! The Michael Jackson Story by Mark Bego (1984). Most items are presented in individual protective plastic sleeves.
Condition report:
The collection appears in good vintage condition. Most items show light signs of age-related wear including minor corner creasing, edge wear, and spine stress. The protective plastic sleeves have helped preserve the cover integrity. Some sleeves have small price stickers or handwritten labels on the exterior.
