Description

An assortment of vintage music magazines and related ephemera, primarily UK publications spanning the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. The collection features multiple issues of prominent titles including No. 1 (1984), Record Mirror (1988-1990), Record Collector (1988, 1992, and 2021), Smash Hits (1985), and Select (1993). Also included are niche and shorter-lived titles such as Exposed (1993) and Bigwig (1996). A bagged set of Stomp and Stammer magazines focusing on the band R.E.M. is present, accompanied by two CDs featuring exclusive tracks. Notable cover subjects include Morrissey, Bjork, Suede, Queen, Elvis Presley, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. The lot also contains a copy of Aerosmith: Life in the Fast Lane by Malcolm Dome and a 1999 NME T in the Park festival guide. Most magazines are individually housed in clear plastic poly-sleeves.

Condition report:

The collection is in good vintage condition overall. Most items are staple-bound and show signs of minor shelf wear, light creasing to corners, and surface scuffing to the covers. Several issues feature original newsagent markings or handwritten price stickers to the front. The R.E.M. set and CDs are enclosed in their protective clear plastic packaging.
