Description
A limited edition artist’s proof print in brown on cream fabric. The work presents a psychedelic surrealist interpretation of the biblical Temptation of Adam and Eve. The composition is centred on a circular void framed by a coiled serpent, containing a stylised tree with dense foliage. To the right, a hybrid figure with a human torso, long hair, and a serpentine tail reaches towards the tree, while a second figure is integrated into the swirling, hair-like landscape on the left. The scene is grounded by a detailed depiction of various leaves in the foreground. Inscribed in pencil along the lower margin: The Temptation Adam & Eve. to the lower left; AP / 30, indistinctively signed and dated ’71. to the lower right. The piece is presented in a dark wood frame with a beaded gilt inner slip and a plain backing board on the verso.

Condition report:
The frame shows minor scuffing and wear consistent with age. The backing board is intact with a standard hanging wire. No visible tears, foxing, or significant staining to the fabric.
