Description
A mid-century teak coffee table produced in the 1960s by A. H. McIntosh & Co Ltd of Kirkcaldy, Scotland. The rectangular top is designed with distinctive raised, rounded edges on the two long sides. The base is formed of two U-shaped sled-style leg frames joined by a single low-set central stretcher. The underside retains the original rectangular metal manufacturer’s label featuring a large M and superscript c logo followed by the company name and location.
Length 114 cm, width 46 cm, height 48 cm.
Condition report:
The table requires restoration. One of the upper corner joints has failed completely, exhibiting separation and splintering to the internal wood fibres. The teak finish shows signs of age and use, with noticeable scuffing and wear to the raised edges, alongside various surface scratches and marks to the tabletop.
