An 84L Really Useful storage box with lid containing a collection of vinyl records, comprising LPs, 12 inch singles, and 7 inch singles. The collection spans several decades and genres, with a strong emphasis on British indie, post-punk, and early 1990s electronic and dance music. Notable rock and pop LPs include The Rolling Stones – Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass) on the Decca label, Culture Club – Colour By Numbers, Marc Almond – Singles 1984–1987, Betty Boo – Boomania, and Transvision Vamp – Velveteen. Alternative, post-punk, and indie LPs feature The Sisters of Mercy – First and Last and Always, Inspiral Carpets – The Beast Inside, The Sugarcubes – Life’s Too Good, and The Damned – Anything. The dance and electronic 12 inch selection includes The Prodigy – Firestarter, Madonna – Vogue / Keep It Together, Primal Scream – Come Together and Loaded, Deee-Lite – World Clique and Groove Is In The Heart, The Beatmasters – Hey DJ / Ska Train, Baby Ford – Ford Trax Limited Edition 2×12 inch Pack, and Soul II Soul – A Dream’s A Dream. 7 inch singles comprise titles such as The Beatles – All You Need Is Love on Capitol Records, Echo & The Bunnymen – The Game, The Sugarcubes – Deus, Squeeze – Up The Junction, The Creatures – Right Now, and S’Express – Hey Music Lover. The lot also includes world music items, including two Ukrainian folk albums: Ukrainian Songs Vol. III on the Echo label and an album by Oksana Bilozir and Viktor Morozov on the Melodiya label.
Condition report:
The collection is in overall fair to good condition. Cardboard sleeves exhibit varying degrees of shelf wear, including edge scuffing, corner bumping, and surface creasing consistent with age and use. The center label of the Beatles 7 inch single is partially obscured by aged adhesive tape. Vinyl discs have not been individually inspected for playback quality or surface defects.
