Lot 131:
Description
A circular wall mirror in the Rococo style. The frame is finished in gilt and features a scalloped, undulating outer edge. It is embellished with four equidistant foliate and scroll motifs, including acanthus leaf details. A continuous beaded border runs along the inner edge of the frame. The reverse of the mirror is constructed with a textured brown hardboard backing and is fitted with two metal D-ring hangers and a hanging wire. No manufacturer marks or labels are visible.
Diameter 61 cm.
Condition report:
The mirror is in generally good condition. The frame displays minor surface marks and light wear consistent with age and use. The mirror plate is clear and free from significant foxing, silvering loss, or scratches.
