Lot 91:
Description
A pair of women’s flat slide sandals in red leather, identified by the signature H cut-out strap design. The uppers are constructed from a grained calfskin leather with a glossy finish, paired with red leather insoles and natural leather outsoles featuring black edging and heel taps. The footbed is impressed with a mark consisting of a horse and carriage graphic above the words HERMES PARIS. The outsoles are impressed with the word HERMES followed by the size 38 1/2, and to the right, the words semelle cuir and MADE IN ITALY. The lot is accompanied by a single white herringbone-pattern cotton dust bag featuring a circular brand logo and a dark brown drawstring.
Condition report:
The leather outsoles show significant signs of wear from use, including darkening, scuffing, and loss of the original finish (photo 2 and 3). The red leather insoles exhibit visible wear at the heel area, including toe imprints and some minor peeling or residue at the edges (photo 1). The leather H straps show creasing and some darkening at the edges where they join the sole (photo 1). The dust bag shows light creasing from storage (photo 1).
