Lot 90:
Description
A pair of turquoise rubber thong-style sandals. The design features a multi-link strap arrangement based on the Chaine d’Ancre motif, connected to a central toe post. The flat footbed is moulded with a textured diamond and chevron pattern. The footbed is printed in white with a logo depicting a horse-drawn carriage above the text HERMES PARIS. The underside of each sole is impressed with the text HERMES above the size 38, with MADE IN ITALY appearing further down towards the heel. The lot is accompanied by an off-white herringbone canvas dust bag featuring a brown drawstring and a circular printed logo containing a horse and carriage above the letter H.
Condition report:
The sandals show signs of moderate wear throughout. There is visible surface soiling and darkened scuff marks across the footbeds and the underside of the soles (photos 2 and 3). Minor rubbing is evident to the edges of the rubber straps (photo 1). The canvas dust bag shows light creasing but remains clean.
