Description
An assortment of four pairs of footwear comprising three pairs of two-strap slide sandals and one pair of thong-style sandals. The lot features the Arizona model in three variations and one pair of Gizeh thong sandals. All pairs are constructed with contoured cork-latex footbeds, suede linings, and patterned EVA outsoles.
The collection includes a pair of Arizona sandals in tobacco brown oiled leather with copper-toned metal buckles and black printed footbed markings. A second pair of Arizona sandals features black synthetic uppers with black coated metal buckles and a blue printed footbed marked ‘Soft-Footbed’. The third Arizona pair is finished in a light tan leather with copper-toned buckles. The Gizeh thong-style sandals are presented in a mocha brown synthetic upper with a felt-like backing, a black plastic toe post, and yellow printed footbed markings.
Each footbed is impressed with the maker’s name ‘BIRKENSTOCK’ and the manufacturing origin ‘Made in Germany’. The size ’37’ is clearly marked on all footbeds, corresponding to a UK size 4. One pair retains a blue paper manufacturer’s tag reading ‘BIRKENSTOCK GLOBAL SALES GMBH’ with the address ‘BURG OCKENFELS | 53545 LINZ | GERMANY’. The outsoles of all pairs feature a repeating ‘Birk’ bone-pattern tread.
Condition report:
The collection ranges in condition from used to unworn. The tobacco brown Arizona sandals appear to be in unworn condition with the original retail tag attached (photo 2). The black Arizona sandals show minimal to no signs of wear to the outsoles (photo 9). The light tan Arizona sandals show light darkening to the suede footbeds consistent with trial or light wear (photo 6). The Gizeh sandals show significant darkening and toe impressions to the footbeds (photo 3), with partial wear to the yellow printed logo and slight smoothing to the tread at the heel (photo 10).
