Description
A wide-brim boater style hat constructed from cream hand-woven straw. The crown is encircled by a tan grosgrain ribbon featuring a circular metal plaque with a stylized interlocking ‘M’ device. The interior is fitted with a black fabric sweatband. Attached to the sweatband is a white fabric label reading ‘MAISON MICHEL PARIS’ in black text, with a smaller black tab above it reading ‘M’. A composition tag is also present on the sweatband, partially legible as ‘44% VISCOSE’. The interior crown features a brown printed mark in a circular format, the outer ring reading ‘HAND WOVEN IN ECUADOR’ surrounding a central crest device.
Condition report:
The hat is in excellent condition with no visible signs of wear to the straw weave or grosgrain ribbon. The brim maintains a flat, crisp profile. The interior sweatband and maker\'s labels appear clean and free from perspiration staining or fraying. The metal hardware is bright and shows no visible tarnishing or loss of finish.
