Lot 82:
Description
A pair of Chloé round sunglasses in the Carlina style featuring gold-tone metal frames and peach-coloured acetate components. The circular lenses are housed within peach acetate rims, which are further surrounded by a distinctive triple-wire gold-tone metal concentric design. The lenses feature a brown graduated tint. The temples are constructed from thin gold-tone metal, finished with peach acetate tips that include teardrop-shaped cutouts at the terminals.
The right inner temple is printed in white with the characters Chloe, followed by a CE mark, MADE IN ITALY, and the number 116. The left inner temple is printed in white with CE120S 724 5823 135. The sunglasses are accompanied by a white textured faux-leather hard case. The exterior of the case features gold-tone lettering reading Chloé, and the interior is lined with a beige suedette material.
Condition report:
The sunglasses and case are in used condition. There is significant yellowing and discoloration to the transparent silicone nose pads (photo 2). The white exterior of the case shows minor surface scuffs and grey dirt marks consistent with handling (photo 1). The interior lining of the case displays several small dark nicks and marks (photo 4). The gold-tone metal frames and acetate rims show light surface wear and fine micro-scratching (photo 2).
