Lot 74:
Description
A collection of assorted porcelain tableware housed in five signature orange presentation boxes with custom-fitted foam inserts. The lot features items from the Balcon du Guadalquivir service, decorated with a bold geometric scrollwork pattern in iron-red against a white ground. The decoration is applied with a transfer technique and includes an integrated script mark reading Hermès Paris on the exterior of the cups and the base of the teapot.
The collection includes a tall teapot of straight-sided form with a domed lid, an arched handle, and an elongated spout. Also present are several large breakfast cups and matching wide-rimmed saucers. Each box contains an accompanying care booklet printed with the text LE SERVICE BALCON DU GUADALQUIVIR above a logo consisting of a horse-drawn carriage and the words HERMÈS PARIS. The lids of the presentation boxes bear the same printed horse-drawn carriage logo and manufacturer name.
Condition report:
The porcelain and decoration appear to be in excellent, unused condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing (photo 1). The items remain in their original retail packaging with protective foam and booklets present (photos 2, 3, and 4). The orange presentation boxes show minor signs of shelf wear and handling to the edges and surfaces (photo 1).
