Lot 59:
Description
A set comprising assorted metal coasters and matching carved marble holders. The lot includes circular coasters constructed from a gold-toned brass-like metal, each featuring a fine-grooved detail to the outer rim and a cork backing. The coasters are housed in two cylindrical holders carved from a polished red marble with white and green veining, consistent with Rosso Levanto. The undersides of the marble holders and the cork backing of the coasters feature a printed black logo consisting of a 3×3 grid of nine squares next to the text SOHO HOUSE.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces of the coasters show visible signs of use including surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of tarnishing and oxidation (photo 1). The cork backings exhibit minor wear, with one coaster showing a small notch at the top rim (photo 2). The marble holders appear intact with no visible cracks or chips; the natural recessed areas in the stone are inherent to the material.
