Lot 30:
Description
This lot comprises a large wall mirror featuring an organic, asymmetrical form inspired by free-flowing water. The mirror is encased in a slim, polished metal frame with a brass finish. The reverse is constructed from a black-coated wood or MDF backing and is fitted with four horizontal and vertical metal mounting rails, facilitating hanging in both portrait and landscape orientations. A rectangular gold-toned metal plaque is affixed to the centre of the reverse, featuring a printed lowercase ‘ferm’ with a bird silhouette perched on the ‘m’, above the word ‘LIVING’ in sans-serif capitals. A white adhesive label is also present on the backing, reading ‘MADE IN China’, ‘October 2021’, and ‘TSCA Title VI compliant’.
110.5 x 62.5cm.
Condition report:
The mirror plate and polished metal frame appear to be in good condition with no visible scratches, foxing, or loss to the silvering (photo 1). The black backing shows minor surface dust and light scuffing consistent with handling (photo 2). All mounting rails remain securely attached.
