Description
A deluxe box set containing the original motion picture soundtrack for the documentary Zappa, directed by Alex Winter. This five-LP collection is the smoke vinyl edition, featuring translucent grey-marbled records. The set includes a comprehensive selection of material from the artist’s career, including unreleased recordings from the vault and tracks from albums such as Freak Out!, We’re Only In It For The Money, and The Yellow Shark, alongside the original film score composed by John Frizzell.
The front cover features a portrait of Frank Zappa with a printed white stylized Zappa signature. A black and copper-coloured adhesive hype sticker on the front identifies the edition as the 180g Smoke Vinyl Edition and lists catalogue numbers ZR20035-1 / 0600753933480. The rear cover provides a full tracklist for all ten sides, including tracks like Any Way the Wind Blows, Peaches En Regalia, and Watermelon in Easter Hay. The set bears logos for Zappa Records and UMe, with manufacturing information stating it was made in Germany by Universal International Music B.V. A barcode reading 6 02435 33480 3 is present on the reverse.
