Description
A group of assorted wines comprising eight 750ml bottles from various international regions, predominantly featuring vintages from the late 1990s and mid-2000s. The selection includes two bottles of red wine and six bottles of white wine.
The red wines consist of a 2004 M. Chapoutier Coteaux du Tricastin from the Rhone Valley, France, featuring a white paper label with a printed coat of arms and black text, and a 2006 d’Arenberg ‘The Laughing Magpie’ Shiraz Viognier from McLaren Vale, Australia, with a purple-bordered label and red diagonal stripe.
The white wine selection includes a 2005 d’Arenberg ‘The Hermit Crab’ Viognier Marsanne from McLaren Vale; a 1999 Lowe Semillon from Hunter Valley, Australia, with a cream label reading ‘LOWE’ in a rectangular border; two bottles of 2005 Alexia Nelson Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, featuring circular black labels with a white profile portrait above a white textured lower label; a 1997 Liebfraumilch Rheinhessen from Germany with a green and gold label; and a 2005 Bouchard Aine & Fils Macon-Villages from Burgundy, France, bearing a white label with a blue illustration of a chateau and a blue foil capsule.
Condition report:
All bottles are unopened with intact seals. Fill levels for the majority of the bottles are at the high shoulder (photo 1). The 1997 Liebfraumilch shows a fill level at the low neck, and the 1999 Lowe Semillon shows a fill level at the mid-neck, consistent with wines of this age. Labels are generally intact, with minor scuffing visible on the Lowe label and light shelf wear to the Liebfraumilch label. The M. Chapoutier label shows light ageing to the paper stock. Storage history is not recorded.
