Description
A collection of assorted works on paper featuring figure studies and portraits. The group includes two large-scale studies of a female nude in profile and three-quarter view, rendered in charcoal and graphite. One work is signed in graphite at the lower right Adam Dutton Jan 95. The second, companion drawing is unframed within its mount and appears to be by the same hand. The lot further includes eight small-scale graphite sketches, primarily minimalist continuous-line figure studies and portraits.
Condition report:
The large-scale charcoal drawings show some minor rippling to the paper (photo 3). One large drawing is currently loose, with exposed adhesive tape visible (photo 3). The black frames on the larger works show scattered scuffing, paint loss, and wear to the edges and corners (photo 1). The oak-effect frames on the smaller works show minor surface wear (photo 4). All pieces show varying degrees of age-toning and yellowing to the paper throughout.
