Lot 87:
Description
A pair of framed contemporary figurative paintings on card by Susie Hamilton. The artworks are executed in a gestural, stylised manner using acrylic. One work, titled ‘Ceremony 4/12’, depicts two figures in ceremonial attire, one in judicial-style red and white robes with a wig, and another in a black academic gown. The second work, titled ‘Procession 1/5’, features three figures in formal historical dress, including a figure in a red coat and another in a long striped robe, set against a purple background. Both works are mounted with white matting and housed in light-coloured wooden frames. The reverse of each frame bears an Art On A Postcard charity label, completed in ink. The ‘Procession 1/5’ label is signed ‘S Hamilton’ and dated ‘May 18 2023’. The ‘Ceremony 4/12’ label is similarly signed ‘S Hamilton’ and dated ’18 May 2023′.

Condition report:
Both artworks and frames are in excellent condition with no visible defects to the paper, mount, or glazing (photo 1). The wooden frames show no signs of damage or wear. The labels on the reverse are intact and clearly legible (photo 2).
