Description
A framed contemporary unique screen print with collage elements on paper by Dale Devereux Barker, titled ‘Untitled, Red’ and dated 2004. The composition features an abstract arrangement of large, overlapping rounded forms in saturated red and pink tones, overlaid with a grid of dark, diffused circular dots. A rectangular collage element is positioned in the upper right quadrant, comprising yellow shapes surrounding a centrally located historical portrait of a man in late 18th-century attire. The work is presented in a slim black wooden frame under glass. The brown backing board carries two adhesive labels. A large white rectangular label from Jill George Gallery Ltd, 38 Lexington Street, Soho, London W1F 0LL, is printed with ‘DALE DEVEREUX BARKER’, ‘Untitled, Red’, ‘Unique Screen Print’, ‘36.5″ x 26.5″, 93 x 67 cm’, ‘2004’, and ‘STOCK NUMBER: 7542’, alongside a ‘JG G’ logo. A smaller secondary label for the framer reads ‘simon beaugié picture frames tel: 01233 733353 fax: 01233 732354’.

Condition report:
The frame shows light superficial scuffs and wear to the black finish (photo 1). The paper support displays minor natural undulation and waving across the surface (photo 1). Surface dust is present on the glass and frame (photo 1).
