Description
A pair of signed limited edition prints by Francois Van Reenen (South African, b. 1969).
The first work, titled ‘Paris Dog’, consists of a mixed media print on a RATP Paris Metro map. The image depicts two dogs and is inscribed with the title in a banner. It is numbered 6/50 and signed in ink to the lower right, dated 27/02 06. The work is mounted in a cream-painted wooden frame under glass.
The second work, titled ‘Dog with Ball’, is a line drawing print on a square wooden board. The image depicts a dog in profile looking towards a hand holding a magenta ball. It is titled to the lower right, numbered 4/50, and signed and dated 05 in ink.
Condition report:
The Paris Dog frame shows minor surface marks and scuffs to the wood (photo 2). The Dog with Ball wooden board exhibits significant discoloration and water staining along the lower edge (photo 5) and light wear to the corners (photo 4).
