Description
This lot comprises a contemporary painting on composite board titled ‘Battle Dress’ by Adam Norton.
The work is executed in a graphic, stencil-influenced style using acrylic or spray paint with a palette of peach, blue, grey, and white against a solid black background. The composition depicts two figures wearing gas masks and military helmets over peach-coloured dresses with blue trim, shown operating a large piece of machinery or weaponry. The verso of the unframed support is inscribed in green ink with the title ‘ B A T T L E D R E S S ‘ and the signature A D A M N O R T O N.

Condition report:
Visible crushing and chipping is present at the bottom left corner of the composite board support (photo 4). Minor paint loss and wear are observable along the edges of the board (photo 4). Light surface scuffing and accumulated dust are present on the painted surface (photo 1). The support is unframed.
