Description
A collection of assorted framed original artworks on paper. The lot consists of various architectural abstracts and figurative studies executed in watercolour, charcoal, and ink. Several pieces bear the hand-painted initials S A T followed by dates including 97 and 00.
A printed adhesive label on the reverse of one frame identifies the artist as SAT THOMPSON Artist & Designer with a studio address at 1B Arlington Square, London N1 7DS and a reference to The Ian Logan Design Company at 42 Charterhouse Square, London EC1M 6EA. This label features the handwritten title Capitoline View I, dated 2000, and a price of £225.00. A second paper label attached to the reverse of another work bears the handwritten title Roman Adventure 1998 and describes the medium as charcoal and watercolour on paper. The collection is housed in assorted wooden-effect and black frames with various paper mounts.
Condition report:
The artworks appear in good condition with no visible foxing, tearing, or moisture damage to the paper (photo 1). The frames and glazing are intact throughout, showing only minor scuffing and superficial wear to the wooden-effect finishes and black coatings consistent with handling (photo 5, 7, 8).
