Description
A mixed media artwork by Keith Haynes entitled God Save The Queen, featuring a die-cut vinyl record.
The artwork is composed of a clear vinyl Sex Pistols record (God Save The Queen, AMS 7284, 1977) die-cut into the profile of Queen Elizabeth II. The record is mounted on a circular reflective silver backing within a black matte and housed in a square black wooden frame.
The lower right corner of the glass bears a white artist’s monogram. The reverse of the frame features a handwritten duplicate of the monogram and numbering 10/25 in black ink. Two printed labels are adhered to the reverse paper backing; the first reads God Save The Queen 12″, Limited Edition Mixed Media Artwork, Keith Haynes 2014, and art-partnership.co.uk; the second provides a warning regarding the heat sensitivity of vinyl records.
Condition report:
Minor surface dust to the glazing (photo 1). Light wear to the frame edges (photo 3).
