Description
A large chest of drawers constructed from stained hardwood with a dark mahogany-toned finish. The unit features a two-over-three drawer configuration, comprising two smaller upper drawers and three full-width lower drawers. The piece incorporates architectural elements including heavy fluted decorative blocks flanking the top drawers and stepped-in breakfront-style protrusions. The drawers are built with machine-cut joinery and utilize a lighter secondary wood for the internal boxes. Each drawer front is fitted with a single centrally mounted black-patinated metal pull handle in a bail style with a rectangular backplate. The unit is supported on a recessed plinth base with short block feet.

Condition report:
The top surface exhibits a significant area of white scuffing and finish loss to the centre-left (photo 5), along with scattered light surface scratches and ring marks (photo 4). Multiple small chips and dings to the finish are visible along the front edge of the top and the edges of the drawer fronts (photos 4, 5, and 6). Minor scuffing and finish wear are present on the lower plinth and feet. Drawer interiors show minor scuffs to the top edges of the boxes but are otherwise clean.
