Description
This lot comprises five bottles of assorted red wine from various regions in France and Australia. The collection features a bottle of Domaine Piedelbello 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon (Vin de Pays de l’Ile de Beaute), produced by Union des Vignerons Associes du Levant; a bottle of Eastwood 1999 Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon (South Eastern Australia), produced by Miranda Wines; a bottle of Bois d’Esclot 2001 Cotes du Rhone, produced by Les Vignerons Reunis S.C.A.; a bottle of Chateau Camail 2000 Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux, produced by Francois Masson Regnault; and a bottle of Chateau Gleon 1994 Corbieres, produced by Jean Pierre & Philippe Montanie.
The bottle labels bear transcriptions including ‘PRODUIT DE FRANCE’, ‘PRODUCE OF AUSTRALIA’, ‘MIS EN BOUTEILLE AU CHATEAU’, and ‘APPELLATION CONTROLEE’. Importer labels for Direct Wines Limited are present on four of the bottles. The volumes are stated as 75cl or 750ml, with alcohol content ranging between 12% and 12.5% vol.
Condition report:
The fill levels for the Domaine Piedelbello 1998, Eastwood 1999, and Chateau Camail 2000 are into the neck (photo 1). The Bois d\'Esclot 2001 fill level is at the base of the neck, and the Chateau Gleon 1994 is at high shoulder (photo 1). The label for the Domaine Piedelbello shows minor scuffing and small tears to the bottom edge (photo 2). The Chateau Gleon label exhibits age-related yellowing and minor staining (photo 3). All capsules remain intact. No guarantee of drinkability is provided.
