Description
This lot comprises a trio of graduated side tables constructed from solid oak with a honey-toned finish. Each table features a rectangular top with straight, square-cut edges that highlight the natural medullary rays and prominent grain characteristic of oak. The tables are supported by four sturdy, square-section legs. These legs are joined by low-level horizontal stretchers on the two shorter sides of each table, providing additional stability. The design allows the two smaller tables to fit neatly beneath the largest one for compact storage when not in use. The joinery appears robust, and the overall construction is solid throughout.
Condition report:
The top of the largest table exhibits several visible surface scratches and a small dark gouge towards the rear right corner (photo 2). The medium and smaller tables also show minor surface scuffs to their tops (photo 2). There is minor scuffing and wear to the edges of the tops and the lower parts of the legs consistent with regular domestic use (photo 1). The tables appear structurally sound with no visible structural defects.
