Description
This lot comprises a professional-grade Nikon zoom lens designed for DX-format digital SLR cameras. The barrel is finished in textured black and features a gold-tone nameplate printed with AF-S NIKKOR 17-55mm 1:2.8 G ED, accompanied by a gold badge reading DX and the Nikon manufacturer name. A clear display window shows a distance scale marked in feet and metres, including the values ft 1.5 1.25 and m 0.45 0.36. The zoom ring is marked at intervals of 17, 20, 24, 28, 35, 45, and 55. A focus mode switch is located on the side of the barrel, marked M/A M. The lens features a gold ring at the front of the barrel, signifying the use of ED glass elements. The item is supplied with a plastic pinch-style front lens cap embossed with the Nikon logo.
Condition report:
The lens is in used condition. The front glass element shows an accumulation of surface dust and minor debris (photo 2). The rubber zoom and focus grips are intact and do not show significant whitening or peeling (photos 1 and 3). The gold lettering on the identification plates remains crisp and legible. The mechanical operation of the zoom and focus rings has not been tested, and no internal inspection for fungus or haze has been performed. The rear lens cap and lens hood are absent.
