Description
A Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series 1/6th scale collectible figure of the character R2-D2 from the Star Wars franchise, identified as model number MMS 408. The figure is constructed from plastic and composite materials with a factory-applied weathered paint finish to replicate a realistic appearance. The droid features an articulated dome, legs, and multiple opening body panels with internal storage compartments for accessories. Included with the figure are several tool and probe accessories, which are held in their designated slots within the original internal clear plastic display tray. The base of the tray contains a plaque with the Star Wars logo. The reverse of the outer cardboard sleeve displays manufacturer marks for Hot Toys Limited, the model number, and a 2017 copyright date. The barcode is 4 897011 182698. This item is missing the front box cover.
Condition report:
The figure appears to be in excellent condition with no visible damage; the grimy surface markings are an intentional part of the factory weathering process. The internal plastic display tray is intact. The outer cardboard sleeve exhibits shelf wear to the edges and corners. Most notably, there is a puncture and tear approximately 5cm in length on the back panel of the sleeve, located towards the bottom centre. As noted, the front box cover is missing from the packaging.
