Description
A resin character bust of Darth Vader produced by Gentle Giant Ltd as a 2017 Convention Exclusive to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. The set comprises the bust, a themed pedestal base featuring the Imperial crest, a separate lightsaber hilt accessory, and a packaged art print. The underside of the base is marked with the maker details, the Star Wars logo, the 40th anniversary emblem, and the hand-written limited edition number 882 / 1077. The art print depicts Darth Vader surrounded by TIE Fighters and features an unidentified signature to the lower left corner. The item is housed in its original black retail box and a brown cardboard outer shipping carton.
Condition report:
Major structural defect: the bust is broken at the mounting point where it joins the pedestal base, with fractured resin and adhesive residue visible on both joining surfaces. The lightsaber hilt is detached and contained in a plastic bag. The art print remains in its original plastic sleeve. Both the retail box and the outer shipping carton show minor shelf wear including light scuffing and small indentations to the corners and edges.
