Description

A comprehensive British military service grouping associated with a Lance Corporal of the Army Catering Corps (ACC) and the 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery (RHA). The collection includes a complete No. 1 Dress ceremonial uniform consisting of a dark blue tunic and trousers with light piping. The tunic is fitted with stand-up collars, stay-bright buttons bearing the ACC brazier emblem, and a single gold-thread rank chevron to the sleeve. Also present is a dark blue peaked dress cap with a light-coloured band and bi-metal Army Catering Corps cap badge. Accoutrements include two purple and yellow striped stable belts with polished chrome buckles featuring the ACC insignia and motto, alongside a white PVC ceremonial belt with brass fittings. The grouping features a Kuwait Liberation Medal (1991), 4th Class, housed in its original white plastic presentation case with a matching ribbon bar. Two wooden shield-shaped commemorative plaques are present, representing the United Nations Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) and the 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery. Additionally, the lot contains seven brass-coloured tokens inscribed Astral Marine Services, each featuring a fouled anchor and five stars. The entire collection is housed in a vintage blue hardshell suitcase.

Condition report:

The collection is in good service-used condition. Uniforms appear well-preserved with no significant moth damage or staining, showing only expected creases from storage. The peaked cap has minor surface dust. The white ceremonial belt shows light yellowing and surface scuffs consistent with age. The Kuwait Liberation medal and its presentation case are in excellent condition. The wooden plaques exhibit minor shelf wear and light surface scratches. The suitcase shows external scuffing and age-related wear to the handle and hardware.
