Description
A large ceramic table lamp base of tiered amphora form featuring a single integral handle and a flared base with pierced star-shaped cut-outs. The piece is finished in a high-gloss chocolate brown glaze accented by heavy, textured bands of white fat lava style drip glaze. The unglazed foot rim is embossed with the characters U K followed by a star symbol and the manufacturer name INDESCO. The lamp is fitted with a brass-toned bayonet bulb holder and a white plastic electrical flex with a UK three-pin plug.
Condition report:
There is a small chip with associated glaze loss on the outer edge of the handle. Fine all-over crazing is present on the glossy brown sections of the glaze. The unglazed foot rim shows minor surface dirt and shelf wear consistent with age. Electrical components are untested and the item is sold as a decorative object requiring a PAT test by a qualified electrician before use. No bulb or shade is included.
