Description
A contemporary cold-cast resin sculpture of a seated juvenile orangutan from the Edge Sculpture collection, designed and sculpted by artist Matt Buckley. The piece is executed in the studio’s signature chiselled and fragmented style, creating a textured, organic surface reminiscent of carved stone. The sculpture is hand-painted in a palette of burnt orange and terracotta to represent fur, with a contrasting matte charcoal grey finish applied to the face, hands, and feet. The face is detailed with realistic, glossed eyes. The underside of the sculpture features an incised Matt B. signature and an impressed rectangular EDGE logo. This lot is accompanied by an original Edge Sculpture promotional brochure.
Height: Approximately 20 cm.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in excellent original condition, showing no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The hand-painted finish is well-preserved throughout.
