Description
A collection of three large-scale Formula 1 model racing car kits in 1:12 scale, featuring examples by Tamiya and Protar. The kits are constructed from plastic and metal components and include rubber tyres.
The Tamiya McLaren MP4/6 Honda is part of the Big Scale Series (No. 26) and represents the car driven by Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger. The kit contains unstarted plastic parts on sprues in various colours including white, black, and red, as well as metal parts, semi-pneumatic rubber tyres, and the original instruction manual.
The Protar Ferrari 312 T2 was manufactured in Bologna, Italy, by Protar Micro Modelli Provini. The box art depicts the number 1 car driven by Niki Lauda. The unbuilt kit includes red, black, and chrome-plated plastic components on sprues, many of which are contained in their original plastic bags, alongside an instruction booklet and decal sheet.
The Protar Ferrari 312 T3, model number 16160, is an unstarted kit featuring a combination of metal and plastic parts. The box lid notes the inclusion of metal components and features the number 11 car of Carlos Reutemann. The contents consist of chrome-plated and red plastic sprues and metal pieces in original packaging.
Condition report:
The items appear to be unbuilt and largely complete, with the majority of parts still attached to their original sprues. The boxes show typical signs of shelf wear, including scuffing, edge wear, light staining, and minor crushing to the lid corners consistent with age and storage. These kits have not been individually inventoried for every small component and are sold as seen. None of the items are encased in third-party grading holders. Contents have not been checked for completeness.
