Lot 158:
Description
This lot comprises two Scalextric 1:32 scale NASCAR slot racing cars, each presented in its original themed display packaging. The first car is a model of the Valvoline #6 Ford Taurus as driven by Mark Martin for the 1999 Roush Racing season. The vehicle features a blue, red, and white Valvoline livery. The reverse of the box provides team and driver statistics, including team owner Jack Roush and crew chief Jimmy Fennig, alongside a facsimile signature of the driver. The second car is a model of the Conseco #14 Pontiac Grand Prix as driven by Ron Hornaday for the 2001 AJ Foyt Racing season. This car is finished in a green and silver Conseco livery. The reverse of the box lists crew chief Donnie Brown and biographical data for the driver, featuring facsimile signatures of both Hornaday and AJ Foyt. Both cars are secured to textured black display bases inside card and clear plastic window boxes.
Condition report:
Both items are housed in their original display packaging. The card boxes show signs of minor shelf wear and creasing at the corners. A red price sticker marked £22.99 is affixed to the front of the Mark Martin box, and a white price sticker marked £25.99 is affixed to the clear plastic of the Ron Hornaday box. The clear plastic covers show some light surface scuffing but remain intact. The cars appear to be in good, unused condition within their cases.
