Description
A pair of boxed 1:32 scale electric slot racing cars manufactured by Scalextric, featuring NASCAR Ford Taurus models from the late 1990s and 2000. The first vehicle is the number 12 Mobil 1 Ford Taurus, driven by Jeremy Mayfield for Penske-Kranefuss Racing. It features a blue, white, and red livery with Mobil 1 sponsorship and the red Pegasus logo. The second vehicle is the number 97 John Deere Ford Taurus, driven by Chad Little for Roush Racing, presented in the characteristic green and yellow John Deere sponsorship livery. Both models are constructed with plastic bodies and contain electrical components for slot car racing. The cars are housed in their original window display packaging, which includes NASCAR and Scalextric branding. The clear plastic windows feature printed facsimile signatures of the respective drivers. The reverse of each box provides detailed driver statistics, including birth dates, physical attributes, career starts, and season highlights.
Condition report:
Both items remain in their original retail packaging. The boxes show minor shelf wear and light scuffing to the corners consistent with age. Retail price stickers are present on the front and edges of the boxes. The cars appear complete and unused, though they have not been tested for mechanical or electrical functionality.
