Description
A carton containing a group of vintage electric slot racing vehicles, manufactured in Spain by Exin for the Matchbox SCX and Scalextric Super Racing System lines. The collection consists of four boxed models with plastic bodies and specialised chassis.
The Matchbox SCX models comprise two Mercedes-Benz racing trucks. One is finished in green livery with BP Vanellus decals and racing number 6, identified as reference 83640. The second truck is finished in a white and red livery with Antar and Elf decals, racing number 65, identified as reference 83650. Both trucks are housed in their original red window boxes with printed barcodes and original price stickers.
The Scalextric Super Racing System (SRS) models include two high-performance vehicles. The first is a Mercedes 190E 2.3-16 in silver with a large Mercedes-Benz roof logo, SKF, and Facom decals, racing number 4, reference C.019. The second is a Ferrari F1 156/85 open-wheel racing car in red with Agip and Fiat decals, racing number 27, reference C.021. Both cars are contained in their original blue SRS cardboard boxes with internal polystyrene protective inserts. The Ferrari model includes an original printed instruction leaflet.
Condition report:
The vehicles appear to be in excellent, near-mint condition, showing no significant signs of use or wear, suggesting they may be old retail stock. The original packaging is generally in good condition with some light shelf wear, minor corner scuffing, and original price stickers present. The clear window sections of the truck boxes remain intact. All internal polystyrene supports for the SRS cars are present. The mechanical and electrical functionality of the motors has not been tested.
