Description
Scalextric Sport 1:32 scale slot car model of the Ford GT MkII, car number 3, as driven at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. The model features a plastic body finished in red with white racing stripes and gold-tone wheels, part of the Le Mans 24 Classics series. This is a limited edition release, identified on a gold-tone label to the base as number 6490 of 8000. The item is housed in its original presentation packaging, comprising a blue plastic base, a clear acrylic display cover, and a decorative cardboard outer sleeve. The packaging carries the reference number C2509A and features the Ford oval logo and Scalextric Sport branding. The interior of the case includes a printed backdrop and technical information regarding the vehicle’s history at Le Mans.
Condition report:
The model is in excellent, original condition and appears to have been well-preserved within its original packaging. The clear acrylic display case is intact, currently featuring an original retail price sticker of £29.99. The outer cardboard sleeve shows only minor signs of shelf wear, with light scuffing to the edges and corners. The electrical components and mechanical functionality of the slot car have not been tested.
