Description
A set of five limited edition offset lithograph prints by British artist Gerald Coulson (G.Av.A.), depicting iconic Formula 1 racing scenes from the 1990s and 2000. Each print is hand-signed by the artist in pencil to the lower right margin and hand-numbered in pencil to the lower margin. The collection comprises: Michael Schumacher in the Ferrari F1-2000 winning the 2000 Japanese Grand Prix, titled Red October (edition 44/650); Michael Schumacher in the Ferrari F300 winning the 1998 British Grand Prix, titled Der Regenmeister (edition 627/650); Ayrton Senna in the McLaren MP4/8 at the 1993 European Grand Prix, titled The Maestro (edition 80/500); Damon Hill in the Williams FW18 at the 1996 San Marino Grand Prix, titled On the Edge (edition 238/650); and Jean Alesi in the Ferrari 412 T2 at the 1995 Canadian Grand Prix, titled Bon Anniversaire (edition 154/500). Each print includes a printed title and descriptive event text to the lower centre margin. The works are uniformly presented in black wooden frames with gilt inner fillets and coordinated double mounts.
Condition report:
The prints appear to be in good condition overall. There is no significant evidence of foxing, toning, or moisture damage visible under glass, and the colours appear well-preserved. The frames exhibit light handling wear, including minor scuffing and small abrasions to the edges and corners.
