Lot 125:
Description
A Vox DA5 digital modelling guitar amplifier, featuring a portable design with a wooden cabinet finished in black textured vinyl and fitted with protective plastic corner guards. The front of the unit displays a chrome-effect Vox logo and a distinctive diamond-patterned polished metal speaker grille. The amplifier is equipped with an integrated black carrying strap. The top control panel provides a single 1/4 inch guitar input, a standby power switch with a red LED indicator, and controls for Gain, Tone, and Master volume. A style selector offers eleven distinct amp models, including Clean, Blues, Crunch, Higain, and Drive settings. The digital effects section includes eleven combinations such as Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Delay, and Reverb, supported by tap tempo and bypass buttons. The rear panel is equipped with a power select switch for 5W, 1.5W, or 0.5W output, a 1/4 inch line/phone output, a 1/4 inch auxiliary input, and a dedicated microphone input with a 1/4 inch jack and independent volume control. The manufacturer’s label on the rear identifies the model as DA5 with serial number 041946, noting production in Vietnam under the direction of Vox R&D England. The lot includes the original Vox AC adaptor, model KNV-1210UK, designed for 230V operation.
Condition report:
The amplifier is in used condition with visible signs of wear. The plastic cap for the tone control knob is missing, leaving the metal shaft exposed, though the component remains functional. There are handwritten markings in black ink reading DA-L on the top left corner of the front metal grille and on the power adaptor body. The vinyl covering exhibits minor scuffs and general surface dust. The included original box is in poor condition with significant tears, surface loss, and previous adhesive tape repairs.
