Description

A Sega Turbo OutRun upright arcade cabinet, specifically the Mini Upright model. The unit is constructed from wood with a black laminate finish and features the original Turbo OutRun marquee and bezel graphics. The control interface consists of a steering wheel with a central prancing horse emblem, a gear shifter, and a green start button, complemented by floor-mounted accelerator and brake pedals. The cabinet was manufactured in England by Sega Enterprises Ltd. and retains its original identification plate, listing Serial No. 227899 and power specifications of 230V, 50/60Hz, 1.25A, and 190W. The internal logic board (PCB) is marked Sega Made in Japan 1986, 837-6063-01, Rev. B, and is labeled for the original Out-Run game, reflecting the machine’s likely history as a factory or field-converted unit. A holographic licence seal for Turbo OutRun (No. 21349) is affixed to the bezel. Internal components include two power supply units and a game price setting chart dated 20-3-87. The machine is fitted with two front coin doors and a coin slot configured for UK currency. Included with the unit is an original UK first printing owners manual for the OutRun Mini Upright (Manual No. 90500010).

Condition report:

The machine is in working order, with the CRT monitor displaying the Turbo OutRun title screen when powered on. The cabinet exhibits cosmetic wear consistent with age and commercial use, including scuffing and laminate chipping, particularly around the base and side edges. The floor matting shows some wear and indentation. The coin doors are missing their lock mechanisms. Internal components appear complete but show an accumulation of dust.
