Description
This coin-operated arcade fruit machine is themed around the animated television series The Simpsons and was produced by Maygay. The upright cabinet features a blue plastic surround and graphic panels depicting characters including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and Mr. Burns. The gameplay features three physical reels and a secondary numerical feature reel, with an upper glass feature board including games titled Itchy and Scratchy Show Super Jackpot, Doh Radiation Suit, and Marges Cash Bonanza. The machine is configured for 10p per play with a maximum jackpot of five pounds. Internal components include a coin hopper, coin mechanism, and a Barcrest MPU system. One internal circuit board is marked (C) BARCREST 1996 -MUX5- XP14695 TSST LDS and another is marked EPOCH. An assortment of accompanying items is included in a box, comprising two Maygay Game Manuals, spare printed circuit boards including an EPOCH board with sound EPROMs labelled LONDON UNDERGROUND SOUND 0 and SOUND 1, various spare decals and payout glass inserts for alternative jackpot amounts, an external power lead, and a set of keys. The cabinet is constructed from composite wood with a black laminate finish, fitted with plastic trim, metal hardware, and printed display panels.
Condition report:
The machine appears to be in good aesthetic condition for its age, showing minor scuffing to the lower cabinet edges and light surface wear. The item is currently untested and is sold as a collector\'s piece which requires attention to ensure full mechanical and electronic functionality.
