Description
A contemporary machine-made area rug by the Turkish manufacturer Madame Coco, from the Iane Shiny Effect collection. The rug features a large circular central medallion surrounded by intricate floral and foliate patterns, finished with a multi-layered border. The design is executed in a distressed, faded style with a colour palette of grey, muted blue, and cream. The pile is described on the manufacturer’s label as bright velvet (ipeksi kadife), a synthetic fibre designed to produce a silk-like sheen. The rug features short, simple fringe at the two shorter ends. Two original manufacturer labels are attached to the reverse. One is a black fabric label with the brand name Madame Coco embroidered in gold-tone thread. The second is a white printed label providing the model number 1KHALI0281123, product name Iane Shinny Effect, material description, and manufacturer details for Deha Magazacilik Ev Tekstil Urunleri San. Tic. A.S., based in Istanbul.

Condition report:
The rug is in good condition. The uneven coloration and worn appearance are intentional decorative features of the distressed design. Minor creasing is present from storage.
