CONDITIONS OF SALE
Online Bidding, In the event of a bid being received within 2 minutes of the scheduled closing time, the bidding period on that lot will automatically extend by 5 minutes and will continue to extend with any bid received when there is below 5 minutes remaining. (IMPORTANT: When bidding, ensure to ‘REFRESH’ your screen so as you are aware of current bids).
1. The highest bidder to be the purchaser and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the Lot shall, at the discretion of the Auctioneer, be put up again at the last undisputed bidding and resold. The Auctioneers decision on all matters to be final. No person to advance less at each bid than the amount named by the Auctioneer. No bidding to be retracted and the Auctioneer may refuse any bid. The Auctioneer reserves the right to bid or refuse any bidding on behalf of the owners of any Lots comprised in the sale.
2. All prospective purchasers to give in their names to pay down a deposit of £20-part payment towards any Lots purchased, and to pay the remainder of the purchase money on or before delivery by producing the correct bidding number.
3. The Auctioneers act as agents only, title to any lot at no time passes to the Auctioneers. Each Lot as set out in the catalogue or as divided or joined with any Lot or Lots at the sale at the sole discretion of the Auctioneers is “SOLD AS SEEN” with all faults, imperfections and errors description and neither the vendor nor the Auctioneers are responsible for the authenticity attribution, genuineness, origin, authorship, date, age, period, condition or quality of any Lot, therefore a “NO REFUND POLICY” is in place. All statements in the catalogues as to any of such matters are statements of opinion and are not to be taken as or as implying statements or representations of fact. Purchasers are deemed to have satisfied themselves by inspection or otherwise as to all such matters and as to the physical description of any Lot. Neither the Vendor nor the Auctioneers make or give nor has any person in the employment of the Auctioneers any authority to make or give any representation or warranty and in any event neither the Vendor nor the Auctioneers/ staff are responsible for any representation or warranty or for any statement in the catalogue including verbal/written communication.
4. Fitness for purpose and satisfactory quality.
The Seller does not make and does not agree to make any contractual promise, undertaking, obligation, guarantee, warranty, or representation of fact in relation to the satisfactory quality of the Lot or its fitness for any purpose.
The Seller will not be liable for any breach of any undertaking, whether implied by the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or otherwise, as to the satisfactory quality of the Lot or its fitness for any purpose. The Consumer Protection Act 1987: No lots are sold as new.
5. Registration.
All customers buyers/sellers must register with us before bidding/ selling and provide us with official proof of identity in the form of a passport or photocard driving licence. No other forms of ID are acceptable.
Proof of address of main residence. Only official documents showing name and address will be accepted.
Both landline and mobile telephone numbers must be provided.
A bank reference for foreign bidders may be requested.
Corporate clients will have to provide a certificate of incorporation prior to the auction,
