Lot 120:
Description
A suite of household goods comprising a tall occasional chair and two matching side tables. The chair features a high, tapered back with integrated arms, fully upholstered in a silver-toned fabric with a raised, stylized floral motif. It is supported by four square-tapered wooden legs with a dark, figured finish. The accompanying side tables are constructed with silver-painted metal frames designed in a faux-bamboo style, each with a recessed top and a lower shelf. Both the tops and shelves are fitted with inset antiqued mirror glass panels. The frames show a distressed silver-gilt finish with simulated bamboo nodes at the joints.
Condition report:
The chair upholstery appears intact with no visible tears or stains. The wooden chair legs show minor scuffing near the feet (photo 4). The side tables show heavy spotting and oxidation to the inset mirror glass, consistent with an antiqued finish, particularly visible on the top surfaces (photo 3). There is light wear and some rubbing to the silvered finish on the metal frames, particularly around the corners and joints (photo 2).
