Lot 14:
Description
A pair of Mission LX-2 passive bookshelf speakers. Each speaker features a two-way driver configuration with a 130mm advanced fibre bass/midrange driver positioned above a 25mm micro-fibre dome tweeter on a black front baffle. The cabinets are constructed from wood-grain-effect vinyl-wrapped MDF and feature rear-firing bass ports. Each unit has a recessed terminal panel on the rear with single-wire binding posts. A black adhesive label on the rear of each speaker reads MISSION, LX-2, Frequency Response ±3dB 60Hz-30KHz, Nominal Impedance 6 Ohms, Recommended Amplifier 20 – 100W, and Serial number: MH028116BFH0168. The labels also state IAG HOUSE, HUNTINGDON, PE29 7DL, ENGLAND and MADE IN CHINA. Silver badges reading mission are present on the lower front baffles and on the included black fabric grilles.
Condition report:
The speakers are in used condition. The wood-grain vinyl wrap shows significant wear, with peeling and chipping visible at several corners, particularly on the top rear edges (photo 4 and 5). One fabric grille has a small snag or hole on the front surface (photo 1). The working status of the speakers is untested.
