Description
A cast initial ring in gold-coloured metal, featuring the letters N and O arranged vertically at the head. The design is characterised by a textured, bark-like finish on the shoulders of the band. On the interior of the band, there is a series of vertically arranged rectangular punch marks. These marks consist of four or five small rectangular stamp outlines, however, the characters and symbols within them are heavily worn and are not legible as a name or fineness. Below these stamps is a larger irregular area of surface loss and wear. The band shows a distorted, non-circular profile.
