Description
A collection of assorted silver jewellery occupying a single presentation tray. The lot includes a heavy Byzantine-link necklace with an associated large open-work flared cross pendant featuring incised geometric patterns. Also present is a multi-strand bracelet or necklace of mixed Byzantine and curb links, featuring a box clasp with an impressed purity mark reading ‘925’. A long curb-link chain is fitted with a rectangular sterling silver ingot pendant; the ingot bears a series of struck marks in rectangular and circular cartouches comprising the maker’s mark ‘P&RB’, an anchor, a passant lion, and a lowercase date letter ‘d’. The assortment further contains a box-link chain and a sculptural cast ring depicting a stylized mask.
