Description
A Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens designed for use with APS-C format digital SLR cameras. The lens features a polycarbonate barrel with a textured rubberised zoom ring and a metal lens mount. Printed markings around the front element include CANON ZOOM LENS EF-S 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS, CANON INC., and the filter thread size Φ72mm. The barrel is further marked with IMAGE STABILIZER in two locations and EFS 18-200mm. The zoom ring displays focal length increments of 18, 24, 35, 50, 80, 135, and 200. Functional switches located near the mount are labelled STABILIZER ON OFF and AF MF. A printed specification near the base reads 0.45m/1.5ft. The lens is fitted with a screw-in protective filter marked CANON INC. Φ72mm. A generic plastic rear lens cap is present.
Condition report:
The lens barrel shows signs of moderate use, with a noticeable white residue or blooming present on the rubberised grips of the zoom ring (photo 1). Significant paint loss and wear are visible on the lettering of the STABILIZER ON OFF switch plate (photo 2). The front optical element appears clear through the attached filter, although some surface dust is visible (photo 3). All mechanical switches remain intact. The internal condition, including the presence of haze, fungus, or the functional status of the image stabiliser and autofocus, has not been tested.
