Description
A crate containing a collection of assorted international coins and banknotes with a total approximate weight of 25kg. The lot comprises a large volume of loose coinage in various metals including copper-coloured, silver-toned, and brass-toned issues. Notable examples include UK decimal currency such as two pence and one penny pieces, and Euro zone coinage including a 50 cent piece.
The accompanying assortment of banknotes includes issues from multiple global jurisdictions. Legible notes include a Malaysian 10 Ringgit note featuring Tuanku Abdul Rahman, an Indonesian 10,000 Rupiah note (serial UBE943495), a Swiss 10 Franc note (serial 16Z08480291), and a Myanmar 5,000 Kyat note (serial FH 3633065). Other identified currency includes a Turkish 10 Lira note featuring Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a Nigerian 20 Naira note, a Polish 20 Zloty note, and multiple Mozambique Meticais notes. The collection also includes examples from Pakistan, Belarus, and other international issuers.
Condition report:
The collection is in mixed circulated condition. The coinage exhibits varying degrees of surface oxidation, toning, and typical contact marks (photo 2). The banknotes show diverse levels of wear consistent with circulation, including heavy creasing, multiple folds, and edge fraying visible on the Indonesian and Nigerian notes (photo 3). Some notes exhibit significant staining and handling marks, while others remain relatively crisp.
